BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE
Accounting and Finance undergraduate programme is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and understanding of the principles and practises associated with accounting and finance. This programme is a comprehensive system designed to manage the financial operations of an organisation. Its is an all in one solution that encompasses various operations, such as financial reporting , budget management, general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, and payable management. Throughout the programme students will develop a strong foundation in accounting principles , financial analysis techniques and management practices. Students will learn how to to prepare and analyse financial statement, interpret financial data, assess financial risk, make informed business decisions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Overall Accounting and Finance programme aims to produce graduate who are who are confident, analytical and strategic thinkers who can effectively manage the financial affairs of organisations and make sound business decisions.
Upon completion of this accounting degree programme, students should have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, practices, and theories. The following are some of the key areas that students should understand:
- Financial Statement: Students should be able to prepare and interpret financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Principles: Students should have a solid grasp of accounting principles such as accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and expense matching.
- Financial Analysis: Students should have a strong foundation in financial analysis such as ratio analysis, trend analysis and variance analysis.
- Auditing: Students should be able to plan and perform auditing procedures, such as assessing internal controls, testing samples, and evaluating evidence.
- Taxation: Students should have a basic understanding of taxation principles, such as calculating taxes, filling out tax returns, and managing tax compliance.
- Accounting Software: Students should be able to use accounting software to record transactions, analyse financial data, and generate financial reports.
- Ethics: Students should be able to appreciate the ethical principles involve in the practice of accounting and how to apply these principles to real-world situations.

Prospective students need to be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification, prospective students must be proficient in English language, possess a basic computer skill, and have access to a reliable internet service. Applicants are required to have a high level of time management skill, understand basic mathematics, and must meet the institution's requirements.
Throughout the course or programme, customised exercises, assignments, and/or quizzes are used to track students' progress in learning. Such comprehensive assessment process is summative.
In order to graduate from the programme of study, students must complete all assessments and courses in full.
Every course's final exam can be attempted up to five times, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace and master the material.
Your highest grade obtained across all attempts will be considered as your final grade for that particular course.Â
Your final grades, reflective of your highest achievements, will be clearly stated on your official transcript.
